Horrible experience – this company should not be in business. I had an electrical house fire in May 2024, and unfortunately, Cardinal Clean was recommended to us. I later learned they are no longer associated with the company that referred them, which says a lot in itself. From start to finish, this company was unprofessional, careless, and dishonest. Several of my belongings were either stolen, lost, or destroyed. Despite my repeated requests to have over 10,000 Lego pieces returned to us, I was later told they were “thrown out.” My husband’s grandfather’s(he just passed in May 2023) sun hat—a sentimental keepsake carefully stored in a plastic bag and specifically pointed out to workers as something important—was also on the list of items to be returned. We never got it back and we were just told that “they can’t find it”. Instead, we received a random box of mixed items from different rooms, which even contained insulation. To make matters worse, several expensive pots listed for return were missing. After I pressed them multiple times, they suddenly “found” them in their warehouse, only after insisting they had nothing else of ours. On top of the lost and mishandled items, they charged us an outrageous $60,000—most of which amounted to throwing away the majority of our belongings and all they did was laundry in my opinion. We were even billed for gloves and masks that we never saw their workers use consistently or at all. This company is beyond unorganized and appears to operate with little integrity or accountability. After my experience, I checked the Better Business Bureau and discovered multiple reports of similar complaints. I deeply regret not doing this beforehand. If you value your belongings, money, and peace of mind, do not trust Cardinal Clean. In my opinion, they should lose their license and never be allowed to operate again.

He was referred to me after a flood caused water intrusion into my medical office while I was out of town. From the very first call, he was prompt, kind, and incredibly considerate. Mark immediately understood the urgency of the situation and made everything so easy for me even from a distance. He personally called me right away, explained what needed to be done, and arranged for two of his crew members to come out first thing the next morning. They coordinated with my mom, who was able to let them in, and handled everything perfectly, removing the saturated area rugs, taking photos and documentation for insurance, and taking extra care with my medical equipment and furniture. They even lifted some of the furniture onto foam blocks to help with drying and prevent further damage. Throughout the process, Mark kept in constant contact and made sure I felt completely at ease, despite being away. His professionalism, communication, and kindness truly stood out. The crew was punctual, respectful, and treated my office like their own. It’s rare to find someone as genuine and conscientious as Mark in this industry. Awful experience! I would NOT recommend this company. They are overpriced and have horrible service. We used them for the pack out and pack back portion of our repairs. They damaged multiple pieces of furniture, which should have been replaced, but instead they sent over someone to use a furniture marker on them. In addition, they damaged our brand-new floors. DO NOT USE!

During our first meeting the sales rep described exactly what I was looking for in a pack out service. I was promised detailed photos of every item, multiple photos including brand/model info and serial numbers. He even offered to detail my car for me, as it had a strong smoke odor inside it. As for what could be cleaned, I was told it depends on the item and would have to wait for more specifics. After that, I was passed off and it went downhill from there. Whenever I asked questions I was told they'd have to look into it. And never did give me any answers on what was cleanable. Insurance decided to consider everything a total loss, so they decided it was all trash. I was never given the option to decide for myself if something was cleaned or not. During the pack out, I told the team of a few very specific items that were the most valuable to me. They did put those aside for me, however never included any of those items in the report. The first red flag was halfway through when they asked if they could throw everything away. I told them not to discard anything until I saw the list and knew everything was accounted for, and so that I could retrieve the items I wanted to keep. When I got the first draft of the list, I was in shock. It was maybe 1/2 of my belongings. I was told it wasn't the complete list, just the list of things that could not be cleaned. They still had my electronics and other items that might be able to be cleaned. Well, the insurance company said they would rather just replace everything, so Cardinal made no attempts to clean anything, even when I asked about paying for it myself. And when I finally got the final list it was heart breaking. So many things were missing. I gave them a very short list of items they had that I was ok with them discarding and told them I wanted the rest back as I needed to redo the list from scratch myself. They made no attempt to resolve the worthless list. The list was full of vague entries like "Mens shoes Qty 1" with a photo of a pile of my shoes. There were multiple "storage bin Qt1" which were rubber storage containers full of items, that they didn't even bother to take out and take a photo of, let alone list on the inventory. Items such as electronics or car parts. There were also multiple boxes/bins that didn't even get the box/bin listed. It's been months and we are still remembering items that we had that mysteriously disappeared. For example, every single one of my Dodgers jerseys are gone. Only my Dodgers jerseys, none of the other teams. Multiple of my GF's hoodies and jackets are missing, misc tools were gone. And I don't just mean not on the list, not only that but they weren't in the belongings when we redid the list ourselves. I don't know if they were just thrown away carelessly or worse. I just know they're gone. In the end we retrieved the pile of garbage bags that was all of our belongings the crew had left in a pile in my backyard. We sorted through them ourselves taking our own photos, as insurance basically told us the small sample of the list we tried to submit was worthless. Trying to get any help was worthless. The only questions they would respond to were logistical ones, like getting our belongings back or getting paid. I would sent long emails and get a brief, one sentence reply, or none at all. At one point I told them I was waiting to sign over the check because of all the missing items and suddenly they showed interest in helping and I was contacted by a warranty specialist. however as soon as the insurance check cleared, I never heard back from anyone again. The entire process felt like a company that was only focused on insurance money and did not care about the people involved whose lives were ruined. As if the fire wasn't bad enough, the damaged and missing items were the icing on the cake, and the complete lack of communication and empathy were the cherries on top. I regret signing over the insurance money, but honestly I was just completely exhausted from the ordeal and just needed to move on.
