I had my bathroom leaking, Servepro team came and detected it, after all they found the leaking reason, our insurance company worked with Servepro team and paid for every include my deductible. And they said once they receive the payment they will help me out on scheduling for a reparation. Finally, It's been almost 2 months already and the team never give me the exact date they will come to fix it. Can't trust this business no more. And the one who was in charged of this received our calls and never wants to call us back. Really really unprofessional. I wish I didn't choose Servepro and go with my own contractor. They just ripped them all off and left it like that, and we don't know when can we use our bathroom again. TRUELY A LIAR.

It's a rare occasion in todays world when you find a company who puts a priority on customer satisfaction. I have found one and want to share the experience that I had with Servpro. I had a water leak in the ceiling in the master bathroom. Before I got the water shut off the damage was pretty bad and the ceiling fell down (what a mess) I called Servpro,they were out I believe the next morning to clean up and dry out to prevent mold. That's when I met Tim Zandbergen, he's the flooring manager. I told him how important it was to me for them to live up to their slogan "like it never happened" he said o k I'm going to send one of our best drywall repair and paint guys Ortoro. This guy is amazing, there is no way you can tell that anything ever happened. That turned out so well that I then asked Tim if he could put new carpet in the master bedroom. He said of course they are not limited to just damage repair. I wanted to use carpet tile for durability but asked if there was anything we could put under the tiles to soften just a bit? He said he had never heard of anything. He did some research and found 2 different pads that could be used under carpet tiles. He brought over a variety of tiles and the 2 pads for me to see. I decided on the tile and pad I liked and asked him if he could do a little better on the price, he immediately said yes, called me the next day with a little better price. So he and his crew came shortly there after, moved the furniture and did the job in one day. In the next day or so a few of the tiles didn't stick. I called him and the very next day he himself was here to fix it. He said that he had never used a pad under carpet tiles before so this was a learning experience for he and his crew. He said if I have any other issues he didn't want me to fix it . Just call him and he will be here to fix any problems. That's what I call customer satisfaction!!! I don't want to forget Sara, the office girl who was also a pleasure to work with. Thanks so much you deserve a 10 star rating in my opinion

Hello John, Thanks for the timely response. I clearly understand the overall process as stated in my original post as follows; " It is necessary, at this point, to explain the service model for Servpro Auburn/ Rocklin. When the Servpro team arrived at the initial appointment they explained that there two separate divisions within the franchise. The first being Mitigation (Demolition and Remediation) which they represented and second Reconstruction (repair to include labor and materials). I also understood that minimums would apply from both mitigation and reconstruction. I only received the final $5000.00 minimum reconstruction estimate after requesting such when you declined to do any work with the initial estimate of $1243.11 Again, "best business practice would provide process detail and disclosure of "Cost of Doing Business Minimums" for both mitigation and reconstruction upon initial contact". It would be appreciated if you could respond specifically to why you do not disclose cost of doing business minimums for both mitigation and reconstruction upon initial contact with the customer. I look forward to your response. I had a toilet leak in a small enclosed water closet located in the master bath of my single story home. The baseboard molding and drywall were affected by the water intrusion from base of the tile floor to appx 6 inches up the wall around the perimeter of the water closet. Prior to contacting Servpro my plumber had repaired the toilet leak. I called Servpro and requested an estimate for water extraction and repair. It is necessary, at this point, to explain the service model for Servpro Auburn/ Rocklin. When the Servpro team arrived at the initial appointment they explained that there two separate divisions within the franchise. The first being Mitigation (Demolition and Remediation) which they represented and second Reconstruction (repair to include labor and materials). Upon completion of the Mitigation teams evaluation I received an estimate by email from the Servpro production manager. The estimate included removal of baseboard, drywall and water extraction. The scope of work was estimated at a $650 minimum and did not include reconstruction/repair. I approved the $650 minimum and the mitigation team completed the estimated work on second and third visits. I then contacted the reconstruction division and requested an estimate for repair. I met with the reconstruction estimator as scheduled. Following the evaluation, I received an estimate by email from the estimator for discussed repairs in the amount of $1243.11. The estimator noted in the email that the amount of $1243.11 did not meet their job minimum and declined to do the work. I then responded to the estimator’s email, with a blind copy to franchise owner John Wardlaw requesting a revised estimate for a job cost minimum. I then received the final emailed reconstruction job minimum estimate of $5000.00. Over 4 times that of the initial estimate. The final estimate is not affordable. It was my intention to use Servpro from mitigation thru reconstruction. I will now have to locate a construction source that can complete the repair work at a reasonable price. Best business practice would provide process detail and disclosure of cost minimums for both mitigation and reconstruction upon initial contact. It is my opinion, that this franchise intentionally omits disclosure of a construction job cost minimum when smaller jobs are involved. It appears that they are only interested in the mitigation business. It is also my opinion that this franchise conducts business in a predatory manner and promotes a company culture that has total disregard for customer satisfaction.

I was going to hold writing a review because I really don't like hurting anyone's company, but today was the last straw, and they definitely burned this bridge. If you value your sanity, honesty, people who do good work, good customer service reps who treat you with respect... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. And, above all, DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO USE TOP DOG PLUMBERS. The company tried charging us $6k for a water heater we bought for $1.2K. Then they charged double to install the water heater. Insurance refused to pay it because the plumber was price gauging and wouldn't provide them with adequate information as to why it cost so much. It took months for the plumber to call the insurance adjuster after us pestering them to connect (when we shouldn't have had to do that - as they needed an understanding of why they were charging so much to reimburse us). The insurance adjuster and plumber never actually spoke on the phone (obviously neither tried very hard). When we tried to call and get Serv Pro to get their plumber to call insurance for the 1000th time, Christine literally said "we are done with you" and hung up when I asked her to have whoever hired Top Dog Plumbers to put pressure on them to speak with our insurance adjustor so we aren't out money. A little shocked and more than triggered by the treatment. Serv Pro got paid, and we are out $900. That's how you treat customers who spent $7.5k. So, yes, they are done because they got paid. It all started with our water heater leaking. It ruined our wood floors. Insurance recommended a company to come do the water mitigation and reconstruction. That's where we went wrong - never use a company recommended by insurance. The water mitigation team wasn't awful. They at least communicated with us and were reliable. Reconstruction team earned the one star for everyone. Worst experience. Sara was in charge of the team. They did not communicate well at all. I had to call 80% of the time to get updates. When I called to understand pricing which I was begging to understand as it was written in a very confusing way (to know what we should do vs them) she couldn't explain how or why we were getting charged which is unsettling. She had to go back and figure out every single question. ALSO NOTE, IMPORTANT INFORMATION WILL BE omitted about minimums so ask lots of questions. At one point we decided to do something ourselves because it would take them forever to do it. She never once said "by the way, you are going to have to STILL pay". Frustrating. They give no guidance. They omit info. We spoke with the owner who reimbursed us $250 for the work we were going to be charged for that we did ourselves. That was the only right move this company did. The guy who did our bathroom tile showed up whenever he felt like it each day ranging from 830-1130 and said "I've never done this before" when he first arrived. We had large hexagon tiles. It was a nightmare. He didn't know about spacers on the corners to keep them in line. My husband had to tell him to go get them. He stopped tiles inches away from the kickstand. My husband had to tell him to pull them up. It took over a week to tile a tiny bathroom using large hexagon tiles with my husband babysitting him. When we brought it to their attention. We were the problems. We were always met with sighs and "what is your problem" attitude when we were just desperate to understand pricing, have reliable workers, and have them work with our insurance. Just know. Once you pay them, "they are done with you." I hope the owner sees this. I had friends ask specifically for a company doing what they do. I was like "don't use them...EVER." We were more than patient with what we were given. Never. Ever. Again.

So now I have another complaint. So I finally received my paperwork when techs came to pull up staples and nails that were left in my bathroom since 9/7. How interesting I actually have a copy of the certificate of satisfaction stating all STRONGLY AGREED and my signature once again. I have NEVER completed this form. I was informed that this was not intentionally done. I Strongly disagree and regards this to being fraud. and if I did I wouldn't give strongly agrees. This has now become truly unprofessional on so many levels. I just notice this was never posted from 10/11 I would NOT recommend this Servopro to anyone.

In the midst of multiple disasters, including a bad water leak with much damage, Servpro served us very well. Ian and his crew were professional, thorough, courteous and prompt. They did excellent clean-up and removal of a gigantic mess. Sadly, due to multiple factors, including communication issues, we weren't able to use them for the restoration process. Do yourself a favor and save your money. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! We hired them for mold remediation. The main issue was in the window tracks. They gave us a quote and then the service technicians didn't even know how to remove the window to clean. After they left we ordered a report and the mold spore count was higher. They charged us for the service when we told them repeatedly about our dissatisfaction they did not come back and take care of the issue. Instead their billing department harassed us by phone and email to pay the invoice and said that we didn't pay for the service to remediate the mold. Yet on our invoice it says we are paying for mold remediation. They have no integrity and horrible customer service. We will never refer or use them. We hope this warning will help save someone else from being scammed by this company.
