DO NOT HIRE WBN Home Design! We hired them to pack and store our household goods while we did construction on our house. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews beforehand because they are just as horrible as the other reviews indicate. They packed up our furniture and goods on the first floor of our house and kept them in storage for 5 months. We weren't living in the house during the time, so we didn't find out until a few months later that one of their staff members had used our toilet and, since the water was off in the house, couldn't flush. So they left fecal matter sitting in the toilet for 2 months. In total, they charged nearly $50,000 to store our goods for 5 months. Thankfully, this was covered by our insurance, but they hounded the insurance company every single day for their payments. They also use a separate company, owned and operated by the same CEO/CFO, to process their payments so that they can collect additional processing fees. When they returned all of our items, they had damaged our large flat-screen TV, broken our shoe cabinet, left Sharpie marks on our dining room chairs, scratched our kitchen table, broke my coffee maker, and never returned a number of bins of our clothing/dog toys. We contacted them to file a claim and/or resolve this issue and they directed us to a THIRD & separate company owned by the same people, to start the claim process. After 6 weeks of email/calling with no responses and resolutions, we decided to sue them in small claims court (which we ended up winning). Lastly, when they brought their evidence to small claims court, they had FORGED my husband's signature on their release of liability document, which we intentionally did not sign when they returned our goods because we wanted to ensure nothing was damaged/missing before signing. In all, a literal nightmare of an experience. Please read their reviews before signing any contracts with them!

This is possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with, in any industry. Their rates are much higher than other companies'. They said they'd "work with [our] insurance carrier," but once a price was supposedly settled upon, they turned around and demanded the difference from us. In total, we ended up paying about $4000 more than we would have through a different company. They are also very aggressive with the payment reminders. Even before payment was due, we were receiving bills, either through email or snail mail, every week; once payment was due, it increased to about 3x/week (and they expect payment within 5 days). I suppose if you're very forgetful, it would be a good thing for you, but I just found it annoying. Also, a number of our items were returned damaged, including a piano. At least they were willing to repair the items they damaged free of charge. The repair department and the packing crew are good people, and generally seem to do good work (although one item that they damaged and were unable to repair adequately, they said they'd replace, but they didn't). It's too bad they work for such a lousy company. They are rather opaque about their charges; if you are going to deal with them, try to get that information from them. They charged $600 to move a piano to their storage facility. When I asked why it was so expensive, when I could have hired the same piano movers for less than a third of the cost, they made some claim about water mitigation services during transport. When it came time to return the piano, they charged $720. I inquired about the higher cost, because surely there's no water mitigation to perform on the return. They said they never claimed there was water mitigation service on the pick-up, and would not give me an answer as to why it costs an extra $120 to return the piano. It is also their policy to return items that are deemed a total loss. If this happens to you, take the items and dispose of them yourself, if you can. They brought back some water-soaked rugs and cheap furniture that were unusable, and asked us if we wanted them. We said no, so they took it back to their facility and threw it all away, and charged us over $500 to do it. Again, anything they do or might do, ask how much it will cost before you decide, because they will not provide that information on their own. But of course, the best thing to do would be to use a different company.

It is not a practice of mine to leave negative feedback. I'd rather praise good behavior, but for Home Design I'm going to brake my rule so I can hopefully save someone else a lot of trouble. If I could give Home Design zero stars, I would gladly. The whole experience with this company has been a nightmare. Instead of helping to easy the stress in a super stressful situation (our apartment was flooded) they made it worse. I wasn't the one that chose this company. My landlords' insurance did and what a mistake. They broke and damaged some of our stuff, didn't return all of our property and even included property (clothing) from another customer (I ended up having to donate them because I couldn't get anyone at Home Design to respond so I could it back to it's owner). Communication was horrible; several employees were beyond rude to both my husband and myself; and now they are harassing me for a 10k+ bill because my property was not initially taken care of appropriately. It was sent back and additional work had to be done. The move coordinate, or whatever her title was, took the liberty to hire specialists to re-do the work without mine or my husbands consent. Due to their error, my insurance wouldn't pay them for this extra work so now they are coming after me and my family. When you have an unsatisfied customer and you as a company have to make it right, you do not go after the customer to foot the bill. It's always been my understanding that a good company would do what they need to do to get the job done correctly. Not cool, Home Design. You suck! If you have the option, I would recommend finding another company to assist with your needs.

This company should be given lesser than a 1 star. A negative if possible. This people caused our family distress and they want us to pay more than needed. They held our things and furniture hostage until we could pay them the Huge amount they charge us. Attention: NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. My old man who suffers dementia, ended up signing the contract which they never gave him time to read. The guy was under so much stress already. When I called them regarding it the girl said "I'm sorry but he signed the contract."

I wish I could give this company negative stars. Please people do not use this company to pack out any of your things. They will nickel and dime you. They do not have sufficient amount of trucks to move your things pack in time. I had to wait about 3 weeks for them to give me back my stuff. These people were in contact with my insurance claims adjuster and I assumed that things were resolved because they did NOT notify me about any last invoice or non payment. Instead they sent it to collections. How can I know things were not resolved if I did not get any notification? They have could have sent letters to me in the mail! Am I supposed to read their minds? I'm not a Jedi. These people will make matters worse for you. At the time, my house was flooded and I made the mistake of trusting the restoration company to hire them. It turns out that they are affiliated and it was too late to back out dealing with these people. The people in customer service is rude, unorganized and just not on top of things. Honestly, it was hell dealing with this company. Your clothes and things will come back smelly, and with bugs. Seriously these people will scam you.

They won't return my calls. I am helping my 90 year old mom with this account. I live out of state so I started calling 3 weeks before I flew to California as I wanted to retrieve mom's belongings and close the storage unit. I began calling every day once I got to California, leaving voice mail messages each time. Someone FINALLY answered my call but informed me that I couldn't get to the storage unit because they were doing a "pallet racking system"...whatever that is! Now we have to rent the unit for two more months before I can return to California. They are unprofessional, they double charge so watch your monthly statements carefully, and they will not disclose where the storage unit is.

I found Home Design on a last chance effort of finding a company local to LA that worked on restoring cars. After relocating to the area beginning of this year, within a few weeks it was discovered my garage was covered in toxic mold. My car was now damaged and was making me sick every time I drove it. My car was relatively brand new, and I was feeling so hopeless in finding ways to properly clean/ fix it of the spores and mycotoxins affecting me. Insert Home Design. WOW! I cannot praise them enough. Upon my initial call, they walked me through the process of what exactly they do for cleaning, from replacing the air filters, to steaming the upholstery, to wiping down my leather with the safest, toxic free citrus cleaning products. They held my car for a week and a half. Building a custom fogging tent for my car that it stayed in for 3-4 days, then taking 3-4 days to extremely detail every inch of my car. They even cleaned the engine. When i came to pick it up, I was skeptical, but when they drove it out of the lot...MY GOSH. It looked better than the day I drove it off the lot for the first time. I mean, absolutely spot less. I could not believe it. I was so overwhelmed. This process of dealing with toxic mold has been such an ordeal and a nightmare. They were truly angels and I am overwhelmed with gratitude with how caring they were to not only me and my situation, but my car and wanting to make sure they did everything possible to make it a safe, clean space for me again. It's been a little over a week of having my car back and I still cannot believe how clean it is every time I get in it. Truly, truly so thankful for this company and their service. Could not refer/recommend them enough! THANK YOU HOME DESIGN!!!!!

I'm so angry. They damaged the TV and bed headboards while keeping my things,and they took them back, saying they would repair them within a week.On October 19th of last year..... But the promise was not kept, and they didn't contact me. Until now, I contacted them with difficulty. But the bed headboard is still not being returned. So far, I have barely been able to promise to make up for them by contacting them hard several times, but I still haven't received them. I haven't been able to use the bed properly for months.If you read this, I hope you'll get it right!!!! Home design is the worst for me.

Saddly our experience with the Northern CA branch of this company was extremely dissapointing! This is a "professional" moving company that lacks the abilty to handle your home or your items with care. This company was hired, by our Housing Manager to clean, pack, and store our items while mold remediation was done in or home. When we returned is was brought to our attention that our home was left open and vulnerable so that random people came into our home and had open access. Since our beds and mattresses were not removed from the home, this was even more unsettling and hurtful. We returned to find some of our items were missing(never found), some were broken, and some were simply not cleaned and still contained active mold. When brought to their attention, statements were made that left us feeling devalued and insignificant, blame was passed by personnel, it was even implied that I was lying. Finally, after two months of giving me the run around, there was some sort of an attempt to address the issues. There was a small fee that was given to us to rectify a portion of the damage to our family's item. Although we excepted, I would strongly caution anyone against trusting your items in the care of this company. Our families experience was extremely dissapointing! This is a "professional" moving company that lacks the abilty to handle your items with care or professionalism. My Husband and I agree that this is not a company that shows forth the integrity needed when people are entrusting you with their personal items regardless of economic status. Look elsewhere!😥😤😞

This is a scam company. They work with the public adjuster PA to claim the home insurance company to get the big check leaving your property more damage. We made a huge mistake hiring a public adjuster who was also a scam artist. This is a whole system working together to get your money. That's all they do. Stay away from this company. You will thank me for that.
