I contacted Belt engineering for plans for after the fact permitting for a violation for work of a previous homeowner failed that they failed to permit correctly. While our timetable has not been always as planned, I will say that several outside factors such as the hurricanes and natural disasters which hit our area and the number of requests probably came into play. The belt team, including JD who took over our project after a previous engineer had left the firm, has been helpful and informative. Not knowing anything about permitting or violations and engineer plans in general, they've been helpful in taking what little information the city has given us to rectify our situation, and turn it into actual plans. We're a few months in but Belt has been helpful in getting us to the finish line.
