We contracted Matt at Elite Roofing for a commercial roofing project in 2023. The project started 4-5 weeks after the promised start date and once completed we had more leaks than we had with the old roof. It was disastrous. It took many text and phone calls to get them to come out for repairs and every time they came out, it was only good until the next rain. This went on for over a year before we said enough was enough. We called an inspector to evaluate the roofing job. The inspector couldn’t believe what he saw. He saw less patches in a 20-year-old roof and ours was barely a year old. The whole perimeter of the roof wasn’t done properly, and the noise problem was never addressed. We eventually had another roofing company come out to fix the roof right and have never had a problem since. We took Matt (Elite Roofing) to court for less than it cost us to fix the new roof due to small claims limitations. We won the court judgment but haven’t seen a dime from Matt since. He owes us a lot of money. I would not recommend using Elite Roofing for any job, big or small.

We had a leak and wind damage from a few storms. I messaged Elite Roofing and got an instant reply. Within two days, Tyler was out assessing the damage and advised me exactly what to do to get things started. Tyler and Matt are extremely prompt, accessible, and professional. It’s really nice when you reach out to a company and they respond immediately. No matter the time of day or day of the week, they responded to me. Tyler had excellent suggestions for shingles & showed me recent jobs that had the different colors which made it so much easier to decide. Once they schedule the job, they were here the next day with a whole crew. They had the complete roof torn off, new boards, and new shingles in one day. The workers were very kind and respectful. The whole company pays attention to detail, and they are extremely easy to deal with. I would recommend them 100%. I am one very satisfied customer.

Edit to respond to the reply: I did acknowledge the help you provided and that you paid me back. I left the post awhile ago so I’m not sure why it’s just now showing up. Also, I paid in full and handed off the final payment to Tyler April 6,2022. Thanks! I had my roof done in Nov 2021 after being referred. I have debated leaving a review since then. Tyler came out to look at the roof and start the process. First, I was never given an estimate/contract, which I should’ve not paid/had work done until I had one. I asked for over a month. It seemed the main interest was getting the insurance check, even though I didn’t even know the cost. I was told whatever the insurance amount was would be what they would accept. (??) I also asked for the warranty numerous times. I was also assured permits would be pulled and paid for. That was never done and I didn’t know until I called the city MYSELF and found out. Once again, back & forth and the permit wasn’t even done until almost a month after the job was completed. Secondly, I watched one of the workers climb down from my garage roof, onto my vinyl fence, stepping on my vinyl shed instead of using a ladder. Since then, my fence doesn’t open and close correctly. A few weeks after, I went in my attic and found at least 2 spots where they cut the vents out and did not replace the holes with wood. They just put the underlay paper down and nailed to an empty hole. I guess they thought I’d never see under it to know better. Replacing wood was “supposed” to be part of the job. While they did attempt to clean up, I have found handfuls of nails EVERYWHERE and sitting in my gutters 2 years later. In addition to leaving black scuffs and scratches on my gutters, siding, and fence. I even used a magnet roller the day everything was moved (provided by the dumpster company, which I get to later). It seems they swept the nails towards my house where they fell into a crack in the driveway. Now whenever I use the leaf blower they’re ending up in my driveway, which I didn’t realize at first. I have had to get 2 tires repaired and 1 was a brand new tire. Lastly, I had to arrange for the dumpster & pay for it. I was told I’d be paid back and had to ask several times for reimbursement. I was told they had issues scheduling a dumpster even though they knew for weeks when the crew was coming. Which leads me to my next concern which was the days and times I was told I was scheduled, nobody showed up. Tyler never contacted me to tell me nobody was coming or that I was rescheduled. For a week, I had to text Tyler asking where the crews were on the days they were supposed to show up. Honestly, things seemed to go well until I made my insurance claim and money was on the way. I was told additional work would be done that wasn’t, “we can for sure do that! Yes let me send my gutter guy! I’ll write that up in the job!” I felt very disconnected from the project and had to ask almost every day the status of the job, instead of being updated. I finally found an email address for Matt after looking up their website and he came out to my house. I showed him the areas of concern and he sent someone to fix them. He reimbursed me on the spot for the dumpster instead of making me wait longer. I believe the repairman’s name was Stephan, and he was the best part of the job. He fixed anything I pointed out and seemed generously concerned & interested in doing it right. Too bad he wasn’t there from the start. I was assured the shingles not laying flat was normal and will flatten with the sun but I don’t believe it should still look like this still. Last year I had water coming down in between my gutter and house. Since it was a very high location, I could not reach it myself. A company finally came out (~$300) to tell me the drip edge wasn’t properly placed when they did the roof and it wasn’t overlapping into the gutter. So even 2 years later, I continue to be impacted by this whole process. My only saving grace is that I didn’t pay for it “fully”since it was an insurance claim.

They bailed on me after many months of trying to get the work they promised completed. They left me with having to try to get the work done. They made promises they never kept, as well as leaving my neighbors high and dry. It seemed so good at the start, but slowly they ignored me and eventually ghosted me. They promised me things if I left them a good review after things went bad, but I didn't get that either so this is the true review of this company. Don't trust them. They are bad business.

2025 edit. I’ve tried calling multiple times, emailed Matt the owner, I have asked for proof of roof install and what they did for insurance purposes. The only thing I have received is the quote thru email. Thinking about it now, I have absolutely 0 paperwork for the install. I don’t even have info for the warranty. I also asked for proof that they replaced all boards they claimed they replaced and never heard anything back. Eventually I just left it alone since my roof didn’t leak but they definitely need to work on communication. 2024 after work was completed: First time home buyer here, knew the roof needed to be replaced when I bought the house but was dreading the price to replace it. A buddy of mine referred Elite Roofing. Let’s just say I owe my buddy big time. They quoted a more than fair price. About half of what any local company near me quoted. Roof looks absolutely amazing. Drip edge, ridge vents, everything looks great. Group of guys had it done within 4-5 hours (10 SQ’s) Will absolutely recommend to everyone I know!
