BEWARE- Our insurance company hired this company due to fire damage due to lightning strike to our home. This company is a joke. They ripped off us, and our insurance company. Washed our clothes in some kind of commercial cleaning solution and ruined a lot of our stuff. Even went as far as washing new stuff sealed in original packaging. Charged ridiculous prices to wash stuff that exceeded the price to buy new. Tested electronics that were obviously damaged and said were good. Tested electronics that had blacked, and melted, plugs and their technicians said " well it seems to work, so I have to say its good" , it didn't work. If lights came on they called it functional. Lied to our insurance company to charge maximum fees. Idiots.

Evans was extremely professional, courteous, and responsive. They showed up and took great care in making sure that they cleaned everything out of our house after a fire and smoke damage through out our home. They walked us through what they would be doing and what our options were. Our rush clothes were back within a day. We were able to go down to their shop and grab clothes that we needed as the seasons changed since it was taking so long to get back into our home. There were a couple of times that things came up that we needed special items and they were able to find what we needed and one of their employees dropped it off at our home the next day. When they brought our house hold items back, they made sure that everything made it back to the room that it belonged in and they stacked everything as neatly as they possibly could. They did an amazing job with all of our stuff.

Our clothing was taken care of from start to finish. I was relieved that our stuff was returned in such great condition. No smoke odor, and I have asthma, so any smoke smell bothers me. Our claim went smoothly and Evans was able to answer all my questions. They surpassed my expectations and is likely why they have been in business this many years.

Experienced house fire in June. Evans Garment of Chaska, MN was right there taking all clothing, bedding and linens for their cleaning and smoke abatement. House took time to rebuild and Evans stored all our belongings. Went to their location to retrieve winter attire and staff was very friendly and helpful. The day we moved back home, Lisa and Justin were professional and efficient and thoroughly caring of our belongings during delivery. I would highly recommend Evans to anyone who experiences a fire tragedy in their home.

Their responsiveness and quality has been outstanding, and any issues we had were totally resolved. Evans Garment Restoration is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. They are supposed to be professional garment cleaners. Several garments were ruined, This "professional" cleaner washed wool items so they are now 1/2 the normal size, rendering them useless. They damaged down coats, ruined several dresses that are now unwearable. Heirloom sweaters are now ruined. Many of the items can not be replaced because of the sentimental value. The also removed tags from collectible items. They charged our insurance company almost $12,000 to clean and store items for 2 people. And they have the audacity to complain that we back-charged them for the items damaged. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF CLEANING THE ITEMS YOURSELF.

If you are reading this it’s probably to late like myself. This is the definition of a scam company!! In my situation my insurance had them come in the day after a minor garage fire and they took Everything! If it could be cleaned they took it. Down to the 4 garbage bags full of Goodwill clothes and rubber mats. My wife stopped them before they got to the mattress... We were told that they (Evens) would inventory everything and then we would tell them what to clean. Mind you the fire was in the garage and none of the bedrooms were effected by smoke otherwise why would the fire inspector say it was safe for my one year old to sleep there the night of the fire... Evens went ahead without approval from myself or my insurance and cleaned everything they took and slapped us with a $13,000 bill. My clothes are maybe worth $2,000. What’s really funny is all their star ratings are 1 or 5 LOL. Maybe the owner should ask her friends to toss in a 4 star once in a while so it’s not so obvious.
