Amazing business,staff and owner. My clothes are professionally done and always on time. Mary, Noel and staff are always friendly and attentive. they call most customers by their first name if known and always asks how they are. if a stain is on a item they always try to redo to try to get the stain out. Never a problem with them.

These people are awesome. Mary is one tough lady of a boss, as is one of her top supervisors, Noelle. I always trust my drop-offs to either of these two. If you do deal with any of the younger staff, and you have a question, like the stickers on the cash registers all say loud and clear: "See Mary!" Should anyone happen to screw up (and they rarely do), count on Noelle to give workers an uncensored, thoroughly entertaining piece of her mind. They consistently do excellent work. And they're honest: if they're not able to do something, they'll tell you. They won't pretend and "do their best to get it out" like a lot of other competitors in the area. I've been a customer with them for years. Mary and her staff are respectful and friendly...just the most hardworking, good hearted-people. I honestly wouldn't think of bringing my clothes to be cleaned as well as they do every time to anyone else. And a big shout out to their excellent tailor, Rafael, who is always polite and professional, and has done some excellent work for us in the past. And, don't forget: see Mary!

We just moved into the area so of course I’ve been looking for new services to replace those from our last home. I received a notice from Jim Dandy‘s and went in because it was so inviting. I met a really lovely woman with long curly hair who spent time with me explaining how their services work. She was so professional and friendly. She explained that not only do they do dry cleaning with a turnaround time of the same day if you want but, they check every garment for condition, And cleanliness after the dry cleaning process has taken place. So I picked up my first items and lo and behold she told me there was a little hole under the arm of a black sweater that I had dropped off. I felt like I was getting such a great service. I’m definitely going to be a customer of this establishment going forward.

They butchered my wedding dress!!! I asked for a hem, an added halter strap and the dress taken in. Firstly, the tailor did not speak any English. He asked me how much I wanted to take in on my dress? Isn’t that something they’re supposed to tell you? Then I guess he didn’t understand what I wanted with the strap (because he doesn’t understand English?)- I wanted the halter strap snapped into my dress, he not only put the snaps on the OUTSIDE of my dress he left the excess material dangling awkwardly on the sides, he mis-measured the size to make the snaps as they only reached my collarbone! I also noticed the dress didn’t seem to the taken in at all! Which was confirmed by the person I took the dress to to fix the mess they left me with. With all the chaos the last thing I noticed was how much material was taken off the bottom of the dress. He hemmed the dress about 1.5 to 2 inches too short! To top everything off they still charged me and only took off the price of the strap as I cried over my dress! I after spoke with the manager over the phone and let her know that the dress wasn’t even taken it or touched, I was told I was being lied to. They continued to argue with me via text! I sent pictures and even after hours of going back an forth with the manager, she refused to offer me any reconciliation for ruining the most important dress I would ever wear. The only thing worse than the result of my dress was the way I was treated by the staff.

Used to frequent this place all the time when we lived in Huntington Village. Previous experiences were fine and even did wedding gown preservation which was done professionally. Moved further away but decided to visit because I have a very old family heirloom Christening gown from Italy that needed a simple dry cleaning and pressing and I trust them to do a nice job. My receipt said it would be ready on a Wednesday at 5 pm. I happened to have an errand downtown so I stopped by close to 2 pm to see if by chance, it was ready early. The girl behind the counter was rude and using curse words apparently addressed to a fellow coworker. After a 10 minute wait I was informed it wasn’t ready and that I should come back after 5 as my receipt indicated. Good thing I didn’t make another trip after 5 because I know now that it wouldn’t have been ready then either! How do I know this? Because when I came in at 11 am on Thursday I was informed by a more pleasant girl that it “ just came out of the machine” and wasn’t pressed yet.” I drove away, now very much inconvenienced and even more so, annoyed. Well I had other errands at the Whitman Mall and was about to return 3 plus hours later when something told me to stop at home first and call before I ventured out again. Yes, that’s right. The garment is now “cleaned but still not pressed” same condition as 3 hours earlier! Should I call again later? You would think they would offer to call me when done over a day late. Lucky thing the Christening isn’t this afternoon!! Pretty shameful way to run a business! PS. When returned and picked up the garment it actually came out nicely pressed. Better late than never. Ironically upon returning home I received a reply to my critical review where the owner offered to “not charge me for the garment”. Ha! I had already paid 20 bucks when I picked it up, so I am switching my 2 star review to a single star!
