To say having a house burn is devastating is an understatement. To have it happen twice in five years, no words! I do not wish this on anyone.without beginning to list out the internal battles all I can say is the last thing anyone is equipped to do is understand that your insurance company is just that, a company. There’s a reason businesses require insurance and it is not to protect you. It’s to protect their interest. When you have an adjuster they are there to protect You and your interest. Curtis and his team understand the ins and outs of this process better than anyone. They are licensed to do so! They are representing your interests during an event that hopefully you are not familiar with. They are on your side when no one realizes that the money you spend to pay for Required(again if a company is requiring it, who you think they are protecting? You or their monetary interests) insurance is not really insuring you. It’s a false sense of peace of mind. Is …. Really on “your” side? Is a talking Lizard gonna hold your hand to help you remember to claim that blanket your grandma knitted you? No. And to see their take on it’s worth. Don’t forget to consider depreciation. Yep everything has depreciation! Trust me when I say insurance companies are very good at their job. and it’s always got something to do with money. Not necessarily your money either!. You can choose which insurance company to hire but having it? Not a choice!? Make sense? Of course not. It’s not supposed to. Unless you’re an adjuster that is educated and experienced on why insurance really exists. Curtis and his team represent You, not the lien holder. Best decision I made at a time that I just wanted to forget the tragedy even happened.
