Homeowners insurance arranged for Paul Davis to come clean up after water damage. They responded quickly, but gave us very short notice when they could come out, like 20-30 minutes. Or they would text in the morning saying they were coming out today, and then we wouldn’t hear anything till 7 o clock or later, they came out past 8 pm multiple times. They also created damage, their tape peeled paint from my walls, they snapped wood pieces instead of removing the whole thing and my door trim was damaged. They never said anything and didn’t reach out or come back for me to address it with them in person. Fighting with insurance to get more money to fix this damages is too difficult and I will be paying out of pocket for this.

Paul Davis did an excellent job repairing our bathroom after water damage. Their team was professional, responsive, and kept us informed throughout the entire process. The quality of the repairs exceeded our expectations, and they truly restored not just our bathroom, but our peace of mind. We felt taken care of every step of the way. I would highly recommend Paul Davis Restoration to anyone in need of a dependable restoration company.

We had a water pipe in our basement break flooding our son’s bedroom. Our insurance company contract with Paul Davis for the repair which involved the remediation of the water damage preventing mold, replacing , insulation, sheet rock and then paint and molding. We were very pleased with how seamless the process was and the fact that they kept us informed on what the next was when it was scheduled. All the trades where here when they said they would be and skilled and professional at their job.

Kellen at Paul Davis was great to work with. He kept us in the loop on things and kept the project moving forward. We did have some issues with Paul Davis' subcontractors. While they were kind, they we not very reliable. They were scheduled to come and work, but then would not show up, then they would show up on days unexpectedly. We had to have the subcontractor return to do some items like fill in missing grout, redo some painting because they painted over areas without spackling first, and other quality issues (some of which Kellen fixed himself). With the issues we had with subcontractor reliability, the project ended up taking from August to December. This felt longer than it should have taken based on the scope and damage. I am giving four stars because Paul Davis was great and I want this review to reflect properly of them, the one star loss is simply because they may want to look at the subcontractors used to ensure they meet the highest standards.

First I want to give a huge shout-out to Carsen and Tim for stepping up and taking care of our home and it's contents after our home endured smoke damage from a cooking accident. The smoke damage made our home uninhabitable due to the intense awful smell. Grease and residue from the smoke covered and penetrated everything including our HVAC system. Most of the furniture and all appliances were non-salvaged. The contents team, led by Carsen, boxed and wrapped up literally everything in my home and transferred to a cleaning facility. It was painful to see my home completely empty. The worst part is that my family and I just moved in about 3 months prior of this happening. We were just about settled then this unfortunate event happened. Thanks to Carsen, he made the process less of a burden on me and my family. He communicated with my insurance agent and was always honest about what contents could be salvaged or non-salvaged. When we were finally able to move back at the beginning of October, some contents, appliances, and furniture were not and could not be fully restored. With the help from Carsen, he explained the situation with my insurance and we were able to get full reimbursement for our damaged furniture and appliances. My wife and I are grateful for Carsen's hard work, dedication, and kindness. He took so much care with delicate items like paintings, mirrors, etc. Thank you Carsen for being so professional and kind. As for the mitigation side of things, my wife and I were not impressed with how things were handled. I had to remind the mitigation team multiple times to clean the kitchen cabinets, and when we moved back home, the top of the cabinets were still not cleaned well and smelled a little smokey. Additionally, the main kitchen and living room floors were left filthy and dirty. It took my wife and I a solid two nights to clean and mop. We were still mopping up yellow residue from the smoke, which should have been cleaned up by the mitigation crew. We would have had Paul Davis clean the floors but we have a toddler running around and we didn't want to his hands and feet to get dirty from the floor, so we didn't want to wait to have it done. One of our main concerns with the mitigation process was the use of artificial cinnamon scents in the air scrubbers. The smell of cinnamon was very potent in the entire home and remained for a few weeks. My wife and I were confused why these artificial scents were used, because aren't we supposed to be tracking down and eliminating the smell of smoke, not covering it up? It seemed to be counterintuitive. Unfortunately but as expected, once the cinnamon scent dissipated, the smell of old stale smoke returned but it was very minimal and only from a certain area of the home. Home restoration is not an easy task. I began to quickly understand how frustrating and difficult it was going to be. It was a stressful and lengthy process but now the smell and cleanliness of my home is night and day. Without Paul Davis's expertise and mitigation equipment, my home would not be the same. I want to thank Tim and Carsen for reaching out and addressing additional concerns. The two of them have been professional, kind, and understanding. It finally feels like my wife and I can finally put this behind us and enjoy our home. Thank you Paul Davis and crew.

Paul Davis to the Rescue, and I don't make that statement lightly. After a multiyear lawsuit and botched repairs by another restoration company, I was fortunate to find Brandon Cox with Paul Davis. Brandon provided a fair and honest bid, straightforward communication, and stood Infront of issues as they presented themselves. During most construction work minor problems and issues will undoubtedly happen, the customer service I received from Brandon (Paul Davis) was outstanding in resolving and completing the job to my satisfaction. My home is as good as new and for the first time in years I can enjoy it and put the headaches behind me. I highly recommend Paul Davis, and if you're lucky enough... Brandon Cox. Look no further, I did that work for you, call Paul Davis today!

The insurance recommended to work with Paul Davis after a plumbing issue in our basement. Tim was very responsive and great to work with during the repairs. Will definitely use their services in the future if need be.

I filed a warranty claim and it was promptly handled! Admittedly I was nervous filing a warranty claim as the initial work did not go very smoothly. But the moment I chatted with Tim I could tell things would be different. He was very communicative and quickly put me in touch with the sub contractor. The sub contractor was very skilled and equally easy to communicate with. The work was done well and efficiently! Can't say enough good things about this latest experience I had with Paul Davis!

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! If this review helps one person avoid the experience we had, that will feel worth it. This company was recommended to us by insurance after our house flooded, and I wish I would have taken the time to read the reviews before agreeing because it would have been a good indicator for what our experience would be. I’m sure Paul Davis will have some kind of response for why it was not their fault since that tends to be the case on other negative reviews, but hopefully anyone reading this will see that as an indicator of the way Paul Davis treats its customers. Ultimately, we discontinued our relationship with Paul Davis to finish the project ourselves, but we wish we would have cut ties much sooner because we are still trying to fix their subpar work and mistakes over a year later. We had a horrible experience overall, but for the sake of this review, I will focus on their professionalism/communication, project management, and quality of work. Professionalism/communication- I was treated as if I didn’t still live in my house, which I did, with two children younger than 3. I was never told when people were going to show up to my house unless I reached out. If I wanted to know the next steps, I had to reach out and often didn’t receive any communication back for days. All of this was happening while I had no working kitchen and an unsafe space for kids. Most times, I would only get an hour's notice, at most, and sometimes they would call me on my doorstep. It was very frustrating as a nursing mother with children who still nap and were terrified of all the new people coming in and out. When I expressed concerns about anything with the project or house, I was disregarded and threatened that they would pull out and not guarantee the quality of any of the work, which they ended up not doing anyway. I also tried expressing concerns to our project manager’s supervisor and was disregarded by him as well. They definitely don’t care about their customers, and I feel like they tried to use fear tactics to get us to stick around. I wish we would have called their bluffs much sooner. Project Management- As a previous professor of project management, I was dumbfounded by the way Paul Davis (and specifically our project manager) handled this project. Although we were presented with a contract from the beginning, I’m unsure whether or not our project manager actually ever read it. Although there was a place for a “finish date,” we never actually received one, which meant they could push things off and take their time as much as they wanted. Our flood happened in September 2024, and we are still addressing issues and concerns in November 2025. In addition, our project manager messed up multiple things that pushed back our timeline, including not getting a dry waller on the schedule in time, not telling our flooring guy that we needed a subfloor installed first, and failing to submit a change order when we originally talked about it. Quality of work- My husband works in the construction industry, so obviously, we know there are some things that are just unavoidable. However, Paul Davis was careless and reckless with our house. They broke one of the valves in our bathroom and didn’t say anything about it but left it for me to find leaking water all over the floor–not a setting feeling when the original work was because of a flood. We had countless damages from things hitting our walls, baseboards, etc., which they eventually but begrudgingly fixed. They damaged multiple pieces of furniture, including breaking our tv stand and never said anything. I had to ask multiple times and escalate the issue in order to get them replaced and taken care of. Finally, they left us with a very creaky, unlevel floor (which they claimed needed “leveled”) and refused to fix any of it. Overall, we feel like we were left with a product that looks worse and less professional than when we started, which is pretty sad given that our house is 20 years old.

My basement flooded because my hot water heater failed. Paul Davis restoration came to the rescue. They showed up quick, mitigated any further damage that could occur and had great communication through the whole process. I would highly recommend. Very professional, the bid was drawn up with dimensions and they left no stone unturned. Thank you for your service.
