Normally I don’t even do reviews, but I felt as if the customer service here wasn’t that great. I was told my uniform would be ready on Monday at five. When I went to go pick up my uniform, it was not ready because their truck got stuck which I understand. It’s not their fault. However, when I called in the morning to see when I would be able to to get my uniform, they werent certain yet and said they will give me a call back and didn’t call back. I ended up calling back a few hours later and they finally told me that I can come pick it up after 3:30. I got my uniform back I realized my patch was not sewn on my uniform all the way. I called back and they said no one that can fix it will be here until 3:30 the next day . My dress blue uniform is also covered in lint. I am not happy with this service.

They never answer their phone. I dry clean roughly 3 times a week. This place is two minutes from my house and I've tried calling them probably every week for a couple months now with a question. If they answered their phone they would have a new customer who uses dry cleaning frequently. But since they won't answer I take my stuff around the corner to a place who always answers when I call.

The cleaning is fine but their delivery is extremely unreliable. I tried to call about repeated missed pickups but the phone endlessly rang. When I eventually spoke to someone they were rude and said that they don't do the deliveries so they didn't know what I was talking about. They then hung up on me.

I've been using Holland Cleaners for a few months now. I love the delivery service here in Chesapeake. Ted, the driver, is professional and very sweet. I sent in my white linen jacket with leather sleeves this summer. It came back looking better than when I first purchased it. I'm very happy with the service and the results. Great job!!

Thanks again! • Overall impression: 10/10 • As a prior military member I have high expectations for my outfits, I look for button imprints, burn marks, and creases. They do a Great job here and I will continue to go back. • Staff Friendliness: 10/10 • I've not returned to many businesses simply because the staff didn't give me a friendly greeting but at Holland cleaners they are a truly friendly staff, which is key for me. I'll always return to a business when I'm greeted with smiling face and a great attitude!

Had my dry cleaners in and came back a few days later in perfectly fine condition... No complaints no nothing everything was good. Patches for the Navy were sewn on correctly and everything so definitely no complaints.

I want to give 5 stars but I just can’t customer service was great price was great pick up was great UNTIL I got home and realized my $200+ blanket is probably ruined. It’s a fur blanket and it matted in some areas but also in its proper state in other areas. I tried I slicker brush but it just isn’t working and upon reading the back of my slip based on the wording I’m pretty sure I won’t be helped I don’t even think washing again would fix the matting smh. I really would have just kept my blanket if I knew I would get it back like this.

Do not use this place. I dropped off a $350.00 down feather mattress topper on July 6th 2022. I was told it would be ready for pickx up on July 13th 2022. I show up on the 13th to pick up and was told it’s not ready but it’ll be ready on the 14th. I came on the 14th and was told that it’ll be ready on the 15th. I came on the 15th and was told it wouldn’t be ready until the 18th. Absolutely not! At this point i lost all faith in this place. I asked for it to be returned right now whether it’s ready or not. I was then told its not even at this location and if i wanted it, i would have to drive 35 minutes away and pick it up in Virginia Beach. I didn’t drop it off in Virginia Beach. I drive there to pick it up and the old man that runs this place was EXTREMELY rude. And get this……:. If you want to fight and struggle to get your items back then use them. If you don’t want the hassle then please find somewhere else. Response to owner: i knew you would respond this way. I expected this. This mattress topper belongs to my mother. She had a knee replacement and the drainage on her knee leaked and soiled this topper. I informed the cleaners of this before i brought it in, i warned them that it had blood on it before hand. It did not smell. There was no odor at all. If there were i would have never brought it to a cleaners. I was skeptic about bringing it this time with the drainage fluid. You didn’t take longer cleaning it, you just didn’t deliver it back to holland. When i drove to VB to pick it up, it was ready, even tho i was informed it wasn’t. You told me when i got there that you were thinking of another item that wasn’t ready when you were originally asked. I would ask you to explain but i know you’ll just make up more lies, and be even more unprofessional. You can try to embarrass me with this bs but I’m NOT taking my review down

2 months ago my wife dropped off a wedding dress for cleaning. She went back at the promised date for the dress and it was not ready. She was given a new date to pick up the dress. The second time she went back it was still not ready, and there was absolutely zero explanation as to why. The individual working there promised her that the owner would call. The owner called her, and to her surprise, was incredibly rude to her. Still unwilling to answer the reason why on two separate occasions, promised dates were not met; he actually got upset with her and hung up the phone on her. I tried to call him to reason out what was going on. He explained to me that dresses take a long time, and that the dates on the slips were approximate dates. I asked him why then she was given two separate dates with no indication that they were not firm, and may not actually be met. His response was to raise his voice at me and tell me that the dress was the dirtiest dress he’s done, etc, etc. I asked him why not just tell me when it could be done and leave it at that. He couldn't answer that question and just told me how it was somehow my wife's fault it wasn't done, and that he was declining to service it at all. (I see he has a reputation to responding to posts, so I'm sure he'll say my wife made that decision... she did NOT. Recall he actually hung up on her with zero resolution.) At this point I said fine, I will be in with her tomorrow to collect the dress, and I expect you to apologize to my wife for hanging up on her and the complete lack of ability to explain your process and unwillingness to resolve the issue. He (in a raised voice) told me absolutely not, and continued on again how it was somehow her fault. At this point I lost my patience and returned his raised voice in kind. Not very professional of me, but it's hard to remain as the only adult in a conversation with a child. It is unbelievable to me that you could treat someone so poorly because they want to know when you'll be done. It wasn't a week later; it wasn't the first missed date; it was 2 months later, and 2 missed promised dates that my wife wanted an explanation for. How dare you raise your voice to her and hang up on her. And how dare you not have the professionalism and courage to just apologize. Bottom line: YOU made a mistake and couldn’t fulfill a promise made TWICE. We still wouldn’t have cared if you could provide a solution to resolve the problem. Instead you’ve made the decision that our patronage has no value to you; deplorable customer service. Based on your reviews, it doesn't look like this is the first time you've failed to be civil to your customers.
