When a gas explosion on our 80-unit condominium property severely damaged three town homes, displaced owners from three other units and damaged structures on two other adjacent buildings, the smartest decision the Board of Directors made was to retain Miller Public Adjusters to handle our Association’s claim with our insurer. This recovery/rebuild process was complicated and extremely complex on its own and made even more so by the reluctance of our insurance company to fully cover the claim in accordance with our policy. It quickly became clear that engaging professionals to navigate and advocate on our behalf with all parties involved was the only way that our property and insurance claim would be made whole. I can’t say enough about the knowledge, skill, commitment and competence that David Miller and Sam Ifft brought to every aspect of our 2½ year recovery process. They handled everything and worked with everyone involved: fire department officials, multiple condo owners and their insurance agents/adjusters, architects, contractors, building inspectors and our property insurer. In the end, they skillfully negotiated the final settlement of the claim that included full payment of their fees and avoided court costs. I can’t say enough good things about Sam Ifft and Miller Public Adjusters. If I or anyone I know ever need help with an insurance claim again, I’m calling them immediately. My only regret is not finding them sooner. I’ve had a hail-damage claim open for over two years—an exhausting nightmare between a negligent contractor and an insurance company refusing to reimburse a large portion of my window replacement. I’ve dealt with lawyers, sleepless nights, and the fear of losing tens of thousands of dollars in unreimbursed work. The insurer had paid for my roof, siding, and gutters without issue but suddenly refused to cover $50k worth of windows. Every reply came back with new excuses. Out of desperation, I pasted my entire policy into ChatGPT and discovered the appraisal clause, which allows each side to appoint an appraiser and an umpire to resolve disputes. That’s when I started searching for a public adjuster - something I hadn’t even known existed. I contacted several firms in Wisconsin.
